Northgate Rockies belt 22 hits

In Northgate Little League action, the Red Sox and Rockies put together a slugfest. The Farm Division Rockies smashed out 22 hits with Shane Luevano, Dylan Stokes, Jacob Petersen, Avery Flores and Dutin Moore all getting three hits. Cody Mort had another strong day for the Red Sox, reaching base in each of the Red Sox games thus far in the young season.

A’s vs. Rockies

The Rockies collected 27 hits as a team with Dylan Stokes scoring four times and going 4-for-4. Dustin Moore was also 4-for-4 and he hit a triple. Benjami Epperly was 3-for-3.

Nick Ridgewell had a three-hit game for the A’s and Omar Diaz led the defensive effort with solid play at third base.

Royals vs. Twins

The Royals got four-hit games from Luke Weaver, Isaiah Fagundes and Logan Sousa, with Weaver coming around to score four times. The Twins were led by Steven Aquila’s two hits and Joshua Garcia and Brendan Rapisura’s base hits.

Pirates vs. Royals

Ryan Torres and Derric McKee led the way for the Royals, combining for seven hits and six runs scored. Nick McConnell was 2-for-4 with a run scored as well.

Sammy Haena and Antonio Basurto both were 2-for-3 for the Pirates, with Basurto driving in two runs. Teammate Tyler Roste also contributed with a 2-for-3 day and three RBI.
