Reindel earns fifth title

Jaysen Reindel continued his tear through the San Joaquin Wrestling Association folkstyle season Sunday in the Hilmar Tournament, winning his fifth championship in the 120-130-pound novice division.

Reindel was one of six Lancer Youth Wrestling Club members to earn a title. The others were: Tyler Diaz (50 pounds, bantam), Vincent Marquez (85, novice), Branden Rullan (60-65, novice), Jacob Sandoval (80, first-year intermediate) and Armondo Torres (75-over, first-year bantam).

Trinidad Diaz (80, intermediate) and Steven Hinkston (84, schoolboy) were both runner-up finishers, while Eli Willis (120, novice) took third.

The next SJWA event will be held at Ripon High Feb. 13.
