Ripon Chiefs fall to the Escalon Outlaws

The Ripon Chiefs suffered a 28-14 setback last Saturday to the Escalon Outlaws in a Trans Valley Youth Football League clash at Escalon High.

In the varsity game of the TVYFL’s American Conference, Ripon dropped to 6-3 with the loss.

Few details were available.

The Chiefs will travel to Modesto to face the Patriots at Downey High this Saturday.

Ripon fought hard against Escalon, but couldn’t take advantage of the red-zone opportunities.

The Outlaws came in with only one loss.

For the Chiefs, Caleb McCusker reeled off several 10-yard gains, Steven Deulus broke free on a 15-yard scamper, and Aaron Paschini made several grabs of passes from Logan Orlando and Andrew Wood.
On defense, Ripon had several standouts.

Dylan Lopez broke up a big pass play. Angelo Baciocco, Austin Escobar, and K.J. Martinez also came through with strong efforts.

The Outlaws relied on their defense, forcing several turnovers via interceptions.

The standouts for the Chiefs were Joshua Solano, who had several sacks and fumble recovery, and Trey Longstreth, who scored Ripon’s only touchdown on a 60-yard run at the end of the game.
