Ripon Sea Lions coast to MVSL win at Turlock

TURLOCK — Paced by four three-event winners, the Ripon Sea Lions blew past the Turlock Sea Dogs 1,144.5-755.5 in a Mid-Valley Swim League dual meet last Saturday at Turlock High’s Steve Feaver Aquatic Center.

Brynn and Emma Stock were among the top points producers for the Sea Lions. Brynn swam to first-place finishes in the 11-12 girls division 100-yard individual medley, 50 butterfly and 50 freestyle. Emma, competing in the 13-14 girls division, won the 100 free, 50 fly and 50 free.

Faith Fasani contributed with wins in the 9-10 girls 100 IM, 50 fly and 50 free. Ben Rodgers took first in the 11-12 boys 50 fly, 50 breaststroke and 50 free.

Ripon’s two-event winners: 

Tristan Hunter (15-16 girls, 100 IM, 100 fly), Nicolette Trujillo (6-under girls, 50 free, 25 back), Connor Paris (6-under boys, 50 free, 25 free), Jaya Fasani (9-10 girls, 100 free, 50 back), Nathan Trujillo,(9-10 boys, 100 free, 50 free), Brody Biedermann, (11-12 boys, 100 free, 50 back), Hunter Goudeau (13-14 boys, 100 free, 50 free), Emery Biedermann, (7-8 girls, 50 free, 25 back), Emily Jung ( 6-under girls, 25 fly, 25 free), Matthew Lee (9-10 boys, 50 fly, 50 back), Hunter Adams (13-14 boys, 50 fly, 50 breast), Hailey Hoy (11-12 girls, 50 back, 50 breast) and Lauren Daigre, (15-16 girls, 100 back, 50 free).

Winning one event apiece: 

Carter Mensonides (11-12 boys, 100 IM), Ty Herrin (13-14 boys, 100 IM), Lauren Daigre (15-16 girls, 100 free), Hollis Fasani (7-8 girls, 25 fly), Liam Winter (6-under boys, 25 back), Matthew Day (13-14 boys, 50 back), Reyna Biedermann (9-10 girls, 50 breast), Vianna Hopper (7-8 girls, 25 free).

The Sea Lions return to action Saturday against visiting Modesto Mavericks at Ripon High.
