Fun run benefits food bank efforts

The second annual Hit the Streets for Hunger Fun Run benefitting the Second Harvest Food Bank took place Saturday in downtown Manteca.

Top male 5K finishers were  8 to 12 years: 1st Trevor Crippen, 2nd Hjalmar Sanchez, 3rd Mason Silva; 13 to 17 years: 1st Matthew Gonzalez, 2nd Isreal Koenig, 3rd Joshua Hewes; 18 to 25 years: 1st Joshua Stebbing, 2nd Nolan Oritz, 3rd Byron Karan; 26 to 39 years: 1st. Stephen Hendrixson, 2nd Nicholas Hoyer, 3rd PJ Rodrigues; 40 to 54 years: 1st George Cross, 2nd Mike Boyer, 3rd Jeff Ringelski; and 55 years and older: 1st Timothy Stone, 2nd Manuel Cabrera, 3rd Mike Mallory.

Top female 5K finishers were 7 & under: 1st. Nora Murphy; 8 to 12 years: 1st Kayla Leece, 2nd Sarah Ng, 3rd Catherine Ng; 13 to 17 years; 1st Alexandria Leece, 2nd Rebekah Thompson, 3rd Marissa Laquagios; 18 to 25 years:  1st Angela Bertochini, 2nd Noel Silveira, 3rd Christina Freeman; 26 to 39 years: 1st Elizabeth Rezam 2nd Heather Forrest, 3rd Jennifer Perez; 40 to 54 years 1st Janet McDonnell, 2nd Sheila Menezes, 3rd Savon Leece; and 55 years plus: 1, Marlene Riley, 2nd Louise Poole, 3rd Kathy Harvey.

Les Rowe; 40 to 54 years: 1st Mike Boyer, 2nd George Cross, 3rd Paul Serpa; and 55 & over: 1st Don Harris, 2nd Jesse Sanchez, 3rd Frank Johnson

Top female one mile finishers were 7 & under:  Alyssa Koenig, 1st 8 to 12 years: 1st Savannah Van Natta, 2nd Tessa VanNatta, 3rd Trinity Romero ; 13 to 17 years: 1st Emily Wittkowski; 18 to 25 years: 1. Kristina VandePol, 2nd Katrina Hinman, 3rd Kim VandePol; 26 to 39 years: 1st Erika Owens, 2nd Melinda Dunham, 3rd Amy Chris Koening; 40 to 54 years: 1st Christina Ramirez, 2nd Cynthia Rivera, 3rd Risa Hernandez; and 55 & over: 1. Sandi Gonsalves, 2nd Denise Johnson, 3rd Barbara Ball.

Complete results with all times will be posted on Tuesday on the website www.localfoodbank.org while those who did not attend the awards ceremony to receive their medal or ribbon may pick them up at the food bank.
