Sea Lions continue MVSL dominance

RIPON — The bye week did little to slow the Ripon Sea Lions’ roll in Mid-Valley Swim League action.
They remain undefeated after outpointing the Turlock Sea Dogs 1,698-1,381 last Saturday at Ervin Zador Aquatic Center.
Six Sea Lions led the way with three wins apiece in individual events. Emery Biedermann (50 free, 25 fly, 25 back) and Nathan Trujillo (50 free, 25 back, 25 back) ruled the 7-8 girls and boys divisions, respectively.
In the 9-10 age group, Keira Brink claimed the girls 100 IM, 50 fly and 50 free, while Ben Corgiat took first in the 100 IM, 50 breast and 50 free.
Molly Burton added first-place points in the 13-14 girls 100 free, 50 fly and 50 free. Andria Martin was the top performer in 17-18 girls, winning the 100 free, 100 back and 50 free.
Taking first in two events: Nicolette Trujillo (6-under girls 25 back, 25 free), Jonathan Barnes (11-12 boys 100 free, 50 breast), Alex Newkirk (15-16 boys 100 free, 100 fly) and Karissa Stewart (15-16 girls, 100 breast, 50 free).
Kiral Tran, Trevor Bell, Sami Loretelli, Molly Rodgers, Matthew Lee, Brody Biedermann, Hunter Goudeau, Riley Slikker, Carter Mensonides, Taylor Menard, Evani Gaeta, Craig Randolph, Caleb Stewart and Robert Lo each chipped in a first-place finish.
Ripon next hosts the Tracy Tritons this Saturday.
