RIPON — The Ripon Sea Lions continued their early-season tear through the Mid-Valley Swim League season, beating the Discovery Bay River Otters in dominating fashion last Saturday.
The Sea Lions girls team rolled to a 1,023-417 victory, while the boys won, 905-350.
Andria Martin was one of many Sea Lions to win three individual events and set a program record in the process. She broke her own 17-18 girls division record in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking a 1-minute, 19.21-second time. Martin also won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
Others tallying three first-place finishes: Keira Brink (9-10 girls), Trevor Bell (7-8 boys), Xavier Chavez (17-18 boys), Molly Burton (13-14 girls), Nolan Boger (13-14 boys), Karissa Stewart (15-16 girls), Emery Biedermann (7-8 girls) and Hunter Goudeau (11-12 boys).
Sea Lions contributing two event wins: Ben Rodgers (11-12 boys), Craig Randolph (13-14 boys), Riley Slikker (11-12 girls), Reese Hansen (13-14 girls), Chad Rodgers (6-under boys) and Brody Biedermann (9-10 boys).
Next up for the Sea Lions is the Turlock SeaDog Invitational at Pitman High.
