Solarios 4 scores pace Chiefs

Michael Solario scored four touchdowns for the Ripon Chiefs varsity in a 36-2 Mother Lode Valley Football League win over the Tuolumne Bears.

Solario (seven carries, 108 yards) scored on runs of 18 and 40 yards, a 45-yard punt return and 25-yard pass from Ryan Daggett. Derric Roy added a 16-yard touchdown run.

 

Junior varsity

Chiefs 44, Bears 0

Dorian Dougherty scored on runs of 3 and 44 yards in the first quarter for the Chiefs and Aiden Benzinger returned the second-half kickoff 67 yards for a touchdown behind a great block by Bo Dionio.

Nathan Valdez scored on a 3-yard run, Aaron Wood from 10 yards out and Gunner Bertsch on a 12-yard run.

 

Novice

Bears 19, Chiefs 7

A great second-half defensive effort by the Chiefs was nullified by three Ripon fumbles.

 

Junior Novice

The Chiefs scored eight touchdowns to none for the Bears in a contest for which no core is kept.  

Xzavier Clark had a 22-yard pass to Jessie Ochoa to set up a quarterback keeper by Clark to close out the first quarter with the fifth score of the period.

Seth Van Dyk, Austin Wood, Emiliano Acosta and Cote Windorski kept the Tuolomne offense stalled all day.

Clark (two completions for 47 yards), Alixander Franco and Van Dyk each had two touchdowns with Dru Orlando and Windorsk each scoring one touchdown.
