Daniel Morales saved his best for when there was no time left on the clock.
Morales scored on a 71-yard run as time ran out in the first half and on a 22-yard run on the last play of the third quarter to help lead the Manteca Cowboys rookies to a 28-6 win over the Stockton Vikings in DYSA action on Saturday at Dino Cunial Field.
Morales (117 yards rushing) added touchdown catches of 15 and 48 yards from Cruz Richer. Trey Moreland added 40 yards on the ground and Xavier Mendez 24.
Derek Alicia Jr. made six tackles and recovered a fumble and Angel Ramirez added four stops. Carlos Alvarez, Jacob Lopez, and Noel Ruezga each added two tackles and Mendez recovered a fumble.

Penalties kept Manteca out of the end zone most of the day but Joseph Espinosa scored the lone touchdown of the game on a 6-yard touchdown to give the Cowboys the win.
Espinosa had nearly 150 all-purpose yards, gaining 124 yards on the ground and throwing for 25.
Alex Alander led the potent Manteca defense with 10 tackles. Anthony Contreras added six, Anthony Montero five, A.J. Martinez four and Klayton Torres, Manuel Aguilar and Livi Huffman three apiece.

Leo Bonilla ran for 134 yards with two rushing touchdowns, pulled in a 63-yard scoring toss from Eric Morales and returned an interception for a touchdown to pace the Cowboys.
Morales was 4 for 4 passing for 98 yeards with two touchdowns. Shane Crawford, Brady Geany and Adam Sena rounded out the offensive attack for Manteca
Ronnie Ray led the Manteca defense with 10 tackles. Shane Crawford made nine tackles, Sergio Espinoza seven, Frank Clark five and Bonilla four.

Alex Cervantes lit it up on both sides of the ball for the Cowboys, running for 228 yards with three touchdowns including one for 70 yards and he was in on seven tackles.
Bryson Davis (four tackles) ran for a 30-yard touchdown for Manteca and Mathew Wilcox made five tackles. Izayah Houston scored for the Cowboys defense when he stripped a Stockton ball carrier and returned the grab 35 yards for a score. Houston was in on two sacks.
