SWIMMING: Sea Lions topple Tracy Tritons

RIPON — The Ripon Sea Lions closed out the regular season last Saturday at Ervin Zador Aquatic Center, edging past the Tracy Tritons 1,828-1,682.
It served as a solid final test for Ripon ahead of this upcoming weekend’s Mid-Valley Swim League Championships at Stanislaus State.
The Sea Lions were powered by nine swimmers who each contributed first-place points in three individual events:
Connor Paris in the boys 6-under division (50 free, 25 breast, 25 free), Kaitlyn Rietkerk in girls 6-under (25 fly, 25 back, 25 free), Emery Biedermann in girls 7-8 (50 free, 25 back, 25 free), Timothy Corgiat in boys 7-8 (50 free, 25 back, 25 breast), Faith Fasani in girls 9-10 (100 IM, 50 fly, 50 free), Nate Slikker in boys 9-10 (50 fly, 50 breast, 50 free), Brody Biedermann in boys 11-12 (100 free, 50 fly, 50 back), Ben Rodgers in boys 11-12 (100 IM, 50 breast, 50 free) and Lauren Daigre in girls 15-16 (100 fly, 100 back, 50 free).
Matthew Day (50 fly, 50 back) and Hunter Goudeau (100 free, 50 free) were both two-event winners out of the boys 13-14 group.
Chipping in with one victory apiece were Liam Winter boys (6-under, 25 back), Bailey Brayton (girls 7-8, 25 fly), Taylor Paris, (girls 7-8, 25 breast), Matthew Lee (boys 9-10, 100 free), Lucas Rietkerk (boys 9-10, 50 back), Hailey Hoy (girls 11-12, 50 breast), Riley Slikker (girls 11-12, 50 back), Tessa Hunter (girls 13-14, 50 fly) and Hunter Adams (boys 13-14, 50 breast).
