Ripon QB Club fees for golf tourney due

The Ripon Quarterback Club Golf Tournament is set for Feb. 27 at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton. Check-in time is 10 a.m., and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 11. The dinner and awards ceremony will be at 5:15 p.m. at the Spanos Pavilion Banquet Room.
The tournament will be ran under a four-man scramble format. Women and coed teams are welcomed.
Fees are $125 per person and $500 per team. The price of entry includes green fees, golf cart, range balls, two drink tickets per player, dinner and transportation by chartered Store buses to and from the course. Buses will leave at the old Nestle parking lot in Ripon at 8:30 a.m. sharp.
The event organizers are also looking for hole sponsors. Businesses may sponsor a single hole for $100, or a hole on each nine for $150 and will be recognized during the awards dinner.

SOCCER
RANGERS: The Manteca Rangers United competitive soccer program is holding tryouts starting Feb. 21-23 for under-10 to under-14 boys and girls teams.
The Manteca Rangers promotes and develops players for all levels of play from Premier to Divisions 1 and 3 and the Olympic Developmental Program.

MASL: The Manteca Area Soccer League kicks off registration for the fall season March 7 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Manteca Library.

AJAX UNITED: Ajax United of Modesto is holding tryouts for boys and girls in the under-11 to under-14 age divisions. Tryouts begin Saturday, Feb. 21 and will continue through Wednesday, Feb. 25.

FOOTBALL
CHARGERS: The Manteca Chargers are holding signups every Sunday until July 15 from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Round Table Pizza located in the Kohl’s shopping center.
Registration fees have been reduced for the fourth consecutive year and are down to $90 per child. The Chargers are seeking players ranging in ages 6-14. Practices are held at Sierra High.

COWBOYS: The Manteca Cowboys youth football organization of the National Youth Football League is conducting open signups at Straw Hat Pizza in Manteca from 6-8 p.m.
Registration dates are: Feb. 19; March 5 and 19; April 2, 16 and 30; and May 14 and 28.
The Cowboys offer four levels of competition: starts (6-8, max weight 115 pounds), rookie (9-10, max weight of 140 and lighter 11-year-olds), junior varsity (11-12, max weight of 155 and lighter 13-year-olds), and varsity (12-14 with an unlimited weight restriction except for ball-carrying weight of 185 pounds). Varsity players must be 14 as by Aug. 1.

Signups will take place at the Manteca Library’s McFall room from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Times for the final date, July 11, are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Delta Rebels will also have an informational booth set up during the Manteca Street Faire April 4 and 5. A $10 discount is available for early registration and/or signing up each additional sibling.
Delta has four teams ranging in ages 6-14.
