Crum, Cowboys varsity cruise to DYSA victory over Modesto Raiders

Dennis Crum passed for nearly 100 yards Saturday and ran for three touchdowns to lead the Manteca Cowboys to a 32-6 DYSA road win over the host Modesto Raiders.

Crum had scoring runs of 18, 33 and 74 yards, gaining 176 rushing yards and was 3 for 3 passing for 96 yards with Donnie Barclift making all three receptions. Marcus Brennen had a 35-yard touchdown run and Henry Palacios added 60 yards rushing.

Aiden Twiggs had a safety for the Cowboys. Mateo Guevara and Barclift had six tackles for Manteca with Twiggs, Palacios and Crum adding four apiece.  

 

Junior varsity

Manteca Cowboys 20, Modesto Raiders 6

Keona Cayode ground out 129 yards and scored a touchdown for the Cowboys.

Joseph Alexander and Angel Ramirez also had touchdowns for Manteca and Dominic Kempf added 37 yards on seven carries. 

Xavier Mendez was all over the field for the Cowboys defense with 18tackles. Frank Beltran added eight stops, Dylan Lee six and Alexander and Kempf five apiece.

Nate Cedolini scored three touchdowns for the Cowboys.

Christopher Gallego ground out 149 yards rushing with two touchdowns and Robbie Espinosa scored one touchdown, gaining 46 yards on the ground with 16 receiving yards. 

Gallego made 10 tackles with Cedolini, Koa Rodrigues and Shane Lewis each getting five stops

Jr. T’Wolves 44,

Three carries, three touchdowns. 

That is what Marcelo Morales did for the Manteca Jr. Timberwolves junior varsity Saturday in a 44-14 road win in Delta Youth Football action over the Tracy Raiders at West High’s Steve Lopez Stadium. 

Morales had three carries dor 138 yards with scoring jaunts of 30, 51 and 57 yards. Luke Weaver was 7 of 9 passing for 105 yards with a touchdown throws of 2 yards to Luke Abrew, 31 yards to Alijah Cota and 37 yards to Alonzo Drew. 

Cota had seven tackles with two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Turon McQuarters added seven tackles, Alonzo Drew six and Gannon Anderson four.

Jr. T’Wolves 0

Julian Moncada rushed for 103 yards on thirteen carries for the Jr. Timberwolves.

Preston Smith was 2 for 2 passing, completing passes to Ayden Roura for 10 yards.

Albert Menchaca led the Manteca defense with eleven tackles. Roman Guzman added eight stops, Julian Moncada seven and Owen Gully and Dominik Wilson five.

Ripon Knights novice

The Central Saints novice defeated the Ripon Knights 26-13 on Saturday in Trans-Valley Youth Football action at Ripon Christian High School.

Hunter Steele had 97 yards on four carries with a 75-yard touchdown run. Jace Beidleman had 75 yards passing on seven completions with a 5-yard touchdown to Dawson Downs (three receptions, 21 yards).
