LODI — Dennis Crum was in on three touchdowns for the varsity Manteca Cowboys in a 50-0 thumping of the host Lodi Colts on Saturday in DYSA action at the Grape Bowl.

Crum (4 of 7 passing, 62 yards) had touchdown passes of nine yards to Henry Palacios, 35 yards to Donnie Barclift and a 17-yard touchdown run. Barclift returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown and Palacios (124 total yards) had an 80-yard touchdown run.   

Marcus Brennen scored on a 32-yard touchdown run and Mateo Guevara rounded out the Manteca scoring parade when he recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. 

Crum, Palacios and Aiden Twiggs all had four tackles each. Barclift made two interceptions and Aaron Murillo one.

 

Rookies

Cowboys 26, Colts 6

A different Cowboy scored in each quarter.

Joey Lopez hit Elisha Henerollie with a 30-yard touchdown pass for the first score of the game. Omar Diaz scored on a 60-yard kickoff return, Bryson Davis rain in a score from 25 yards out and Gabe Flores capped the Manteca scoring with a 5-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

George Mendoza led the Cowboys defense with seven tackles

Cowboys 28, Colts 0

The Cowboys scored three touchdowns in the second quarter.

Nate Cedolini led Manteca with157 rushing yards on 11carries with a touchdown and a receiving touchdown. Christopher Gallego added 63yards on seven carries and one touchdown and Robbie Espinosa had a rushing and passing touchdown, gaining 46 yards on six carries.Martin Uribe gained 30 yards rushing and 15yards reveiving. 

Julian Ramirez (fumble recovery), Anthony Oteri (fumble recovery), Gallego (fumble recovery), Jonathan Constance and Nate Cedolini all had five tackles apiece.

Junior varsity

Manteca Jr. T’wolves 56, Dublin Fighting Irish 0

Luke Weaver threw for four touchdowns and ran for one in the road win that saw the Jr. Timberwolves rack up 50 first-half points and 386 total yards.

Weaver (14 for 18 passing, 264 yards; three carries, 31 yards) connected with Marcelo Morales for touchdown passes of 43 and 44 yards and had touchdown throws of 33 and 34 yards to Alonzo Drew (four receptions, 100 yards). Weaver added an 8-yard touchdown run.

Marcelo Morales scored on runs of 7 and 22 yards and Jason Seabron had the only points of the second half on an 18-yard punt return. Luke Abrew, Nikko Nunez and Joseph Flores also contributed on offense for Manteca.

Alijah Cota led the Jr. Timberwolves defense with 11 tackles and a forced fumble. Nikko Nunez added five stops, Izaac Gonzales-Miller three with Jason Seabron, Gannon Anderson and Alonzo Drew all playing well on defense. Jessica Perea made a touchdown-saving tackle on a kickoff to preserve the shutout.

 

Jr. Novice

Manteca Jr. T’wolves 27, Dublin Fighting Irish 0

Julian Moncada led the Timberwolves with 156 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns.

Ayden Roura added 64 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries and Preston Smith scored on a 15-yard run.

The Manteca defensive held the Fighting Irish to two first downs and was led by Damian Delgadillo with 11 tackles and a forced fumble and Moncada with six tackles.

 

Cen-Cal

Varsity

Manteca Jaguars 50,

Central Valley 49ers 8

Joel Yuson returned three punts for touchdowns for the Jaguars on Saturday in Riverbank.

Yuson scored on returns of 45, 48 and 80 yards.

The rest of the Manteca scoring was balanced with Adrian Ochoa (10 carries, 46 yards) scoring on a 6-yard run, Daniel Covarrubias from nine yards out, Lane Cefalu on a 4-yard run and Leonardo Quintero on a 12-yard pass reception.

Cefalu and Jacob Martinez made five tackles apiece for the Jaguars. Angel Grajeda added four stops, Christian Threadgill three and Victor Martinez an interception.
