Mitch Lill had an interception return of 55 yards to set up the first score of the game, and Manteca Jr. Timberwolves novice teammate Gianni Addeigo made an interception with 25 seconds left in the game to seal the 14-12 win over the North Stockton Bengals.

Alijah Cota led Manteca with 80 yards rushing and Ryan Vanarsdell added 40 yards on the ground and a 5-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Luke Abrew added a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Cota and Eric Fitch had six tackles apiece with Lill, Addeigo and Caden Salas adding four stops each.

 

Junior novice

Bengals 29, Jr. Timberwolves 0

Jeremy Douglas paced the Jr. Timberwolves offense with 59 yards on 14 carries and Andrew DeFrenchi chipped in with 10 yards.

Julian Moncada led the Manteca defense with nine tackles and a fumble recovery. DeFrenchi had five tackles and Douglas four.
