DeJesus, Jr. Buffs stampede Atwater

Jacob DeJesus scored two touchdowns for the Manteca Jr. Buffaloes varsity in a 28-0 victory over the Atwater Jr. Falcons.

DeJesus had 120 yards rushing with one of the touchdowns coming on a 70-yard kickoff return. Kyle Jackson (80 yards rushing) Jacob Sandavol (30) and Evans Nicolas (20) each had a rushing touchdown and Tyler Garlets threw a 10-yard pass to passed to Garren Genilla for another Manteca score.

Nicolas and CJ Legarta each had 10 tackles for the Jr. Buffaloes, Kevin Thornburg six and Zelmar Vedder made an interception.

 

Junior varsity

Jr. Falcons 20, Jr. Buffaloes 7

Tyler Diaz scored the lone touchdown for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Eduardo Lomeli gained 65 yards on the ground for Manteca and Antonio Hernandez, Kekoa Nicolas and Amaiya Guyton also contributed on offense.

Nicolas, Guyton and Andrew Magana led the Jr. Buffaloes defense.

 

Jaguars 41, Cougars 0

The Jaguars held the Cougars to 30 yards.

Kyle Tidwell returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown and had four tackles for Manteca. Ryland Toves blocked two punts, recovered a fumble and had five tackles.

Victor Martinez had two touchdowns behind a 73-yard rushing day for the Jaguars. Jordan Shinn had 100 return yards on special team returning yards scored a touchdown and Lane Cefalu had a touchdown.

 

Pee Wee

Jr. Buffaloes 8, Jr. Falcons 6

Anthony Nixon’s safety was the margin of victory for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Jason Seabron stood out on both sides of the ball for Manteca with had four carries for 85 yards including a 48-yard touchdown while making four tackles and two fumble recoveries. Cole Ramsey, Daniel Rushing and David Juarez also contributed on offense.

Cole Stonum had six tackles for the Jr. Buffaloes, Nixon five, Ramsey three and Damien Davis an interception.

 

Cougars 2, Jaguars 0

Kaino Ontai paced the offensive effort for the Jaguars with 70 yards.

Ricardo Villavazo, Marques Callahan and Isacc Hashim also had good games on offense for Manteca.

 

Rookies

Jr. Buffaloes vs. Jr. Falcons

Diego Esparza made three sacks and three forced fumbles for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Quinn Martinez had a pair of rushing touchdowns for Manteca with Nikko Juarez and Nickolas Garcia adding one apiece.
