The dominant pitching and hitting of Tyres Harper led the Pirates to a 12-2 win over the Rangers in Northgate Little League junior division action.

Harper had five strikeouts and allowed just four hits while going 3 for 3 with a double and four RBIs.

Also adding offense was Fernando Sergrua was 3 for 3 with a double and Asiah Scott, Dominic Valentine, Ray Navarro, Tyler Rigglemen and Jamari Milligan all had multiple hits for the Pirates.

Ben Nguyen and Romero Suarez had multiple hits for the Rangers and teammates Robert Wilcox and Scottie Armstrong played well on defense.

Big bats led the way to the first win of the year for the Giants.

Brayden Hibbs was 3 for 3 with a RBI for the Giants and Ryan Torres had three hits - including a pair of doubles — and two RBIs.
