Northgate Pirates top Natuinals behind Sequeira

The Northgate Little League Pirates beat the Nationals 12-2 behind the stellar complete-game pitching of Marcus Sequeira.

 Jamari Milligan played good defense for the Nationals while Rogelio Lupaian with Tyres Harper split duties at catcher and took turns gunning down Nationals baserunners, allowing no steals. 

 Harper picked up his 30th hit of the season while Sequeira, Tyler Rigglemen and Asian Scott all had a good day at the plate.

 Dominic Ray pitched very well for the Nationals and Jarrod Murphy had two hits.



Pirates 12, Rangers 2

 Harper had a standout day at the plate and on the mound for the Pirates.

 Harper went the distance, striking out five and allowing only four hits while along with Fernando Segura he went 3 for 3 with a double. Brandon Emes also went 3 for 3 and Dominic Valentine, Sequeira, Rogelio Lupian and Ray Navarro all had two hits apiece. 



AAA

Tigers 10, Orioles 8

Brandon Pine had an inside-the-park home run late in the game for the Tigers.

Tony Pretoni, Shane Luevano, and Michael Quaresma split pitching duties for the Tigers.

 Earlier in the week Ivan Vieira hit a two-run home run for his second home run of the season.

 

A’s 6, Indians 5

Lucas Krenz went 2 for 3 for the A’s with two doubles, an RBI and three stolen bases. He caught the entire game and had two putouts at the plate.

 For the A’s, Nick Ridgwell pitched two and two-thirds innings with six strikeouts and was 2 for 3 with a triple.  Anthony Sy pitched two and one-third innings with six strike outs and was 3-3 while Matt Jackson pitched an inning with two strikeouts and was 2 for 3.
