Under-12 Crushers smash Strikers

The under-12 boys Crushers of the Manteca Area Soccer League posted an easy victory in their 5-1 win over the Strikers at Woodward Park.

The Crushers got a pair of goals from Matthew Higginson and Justin Ruiz, Brendan Chapman and Kyle Hickman all scored once in the win. Hickman and Chapman both shared time in the net, holding ste Strikers to one goal

Scorpions 5, Red Bulls 3

It was the first of two wins when the Scorpions outlasted a determined red Bulls team by two goals in MASL play. Aron Naverrette erupted for the hat-trick, while teammates Esteban Castro and Leonardo Morales both added scores.

Scorpions 4, Fury 3

The Scorpions got a breakout performance from Aron Navarrette who scored each of the Scorpions four goals in the win. Kyle Rachels and Leonardo Morales dished out assists to Navarrette. The two battled for the duration of the contest, but it was the Scorpions who never gave up and pulled out the win. Esteban Castro, Manuel Echeverria and Isaias Mata all provided solid offensive passing for the Scorpions.

Strikers 3, Arsenal 1

The Strikers put together a quality performance and handed the previously unbeaten Arsenal their first loss of the season. Marissa King scored from her midfield position, putting the Sttrikers up 1-0. The Arsenal would tie things up early in the second half, but the Strikers would net two second half goals to solidify the win.

 

Under-10 Boys

Bolts 8, Lions 2
The Bolts scored early and often in a 8-2 victory.

Michael Absher led the Bolts with six goals scored, while teammate Basem Monstafa netted his first goal of the season. Monstafa also provided the Bolts with stellar play in the net, turning away nearly evey shot the Lions sent his way. The Bolts held a comfortable 6-2 lead at the half and would add a pair while keeping the Lions off the scoreboard.

Panthers 2

Team United got its weekend off on the right track with a two goal win over the Panthers on Halloween. Stephania Mercado put home a goal on an assist from Kendra Campbell to pace the United.

Team United 3, Lady Earthquakes 1
Kendra Campbell and Stephanie Mercado both tallied goals in a 3-1 win over the Earthquakes Sunday. Kylee Berle and Hannah Hart paced the Earthquakes with an assist and goal, respectively, but the United proved to be too much.

 

Under-14 Girls

United 2, Blizzards 0
The United and Blizzards were tied 0-0 after a half of play, but the United were able to pull away over the second half, wininng 2-0 in beautiful conditions. Cynthia Randall nailed a goal for the United, while Taylor Gray and Shariah Davidson did a great job in the net for the squad. The

United close out a near-perfect season, putting together a 11-1 record.
