Williams and Wallace lead Pacific past Pepperdine

STOCKTON (AP) — T.J. Wallace scored 25 points, Jack Williams added 17 points, and his late 3-pointer helped Pacific end a five-game skid to Pepperdine with a 79-74 win Thursday night.

Wallace distributed 10 assists with his last going to Williams whose 3 with 65 seconds to go put Pacific (8-10, 2-3 West Coast Conference) up 72-70. Wallace made all four of his free throws and the Tigers were 7 for 8 from the free throw line in the final 47 seconds.

Williams corralled 14 rebounds, Ray Bowles had 14 points and Anthony Townes had 10 for Pacific (8-10, 2-3 West Coast Conference).

The Waves shot 53 percent (30 for 57) while Pacific was 24 for 56 (43 percent) for Pacific. But the Tigers made it up for the difference at the free throw line on 24-for-28 shooting.

Lamond Murray Jr. scored 23 points for Pepperdine, Chris Reyes had 20, and Jeremy Major had 14 points for Pepperdine (5-12, 1-4).
