Snow along Highway 108 about a quarter of a mile from Sonora Pass was a minimum of 18 inches along the roadway and three to four feet deep within a short distance when this photo was taken on Saturday, June 8, of this year.
Last Saturday while Manteca and Turlock were flirting with 100 degrees I was trudging across 3 to 4 feet of snow watching people ahead of my ski down a mountain side while the sound of snowmobiles could be heard in the distance.
