Emily Brady, 31, of Manteca was identified Tuesday as the woman who died in a rear-end crash with a semi-truck rig on Highway 120 near Union Road shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Brady reportedly died shortly after she was taken to Kaiser Hospital in Manteca.

The CHP reported that she had driven into the rear of a westbound truck and was rear ended by a second car driven by Sokah Chan, 27, of Manteca.  Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles by the Manteca Fire Department using the Jaws of Life.

Chan was initially reported to be in extremely critical condition when he was taken to San Joaquin County Hospital in French Camp.  After being stabilized he was transported to U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento Tuesday morning.

Services are set for Saturday at 10 a.m. for Brady at the Northgate LDS Stake Center on Northland Road.
