47th Almond Blossom Kick Off & Tribute Dinner

RIPON — The Ripon Chamber of Commerce is holding their 47th Annual Almond Blossom Kick Off and Tribute Dinner on Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Ripon Community Center, 334 Fourth St. starting at 6 p.m.

Social hour will be held at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $30 per person and are on sale at the Ripon Chamber office, 929 West Main Street or any chamber board members. Deadline to buy tickets is Friday, Jan. 9.  Tickets will not be sold at the door.  Dinner will be catered by Olde Towne Steak House

The Chamber is honoring Soroptimist International Ripon this year.  The theme is “Serving 18 Years of Community Service”, and the grand marshal is Judy Tvedt.

Queen candidates will give their speeches at the dinner and will have a personal interview with the judges.  Candidates this year are:  Kate Ballatore, daughter of Mike & Kelly Ballatore, Karmie Goforth, daughter of David Goforth and Kristie Watts, Courtney Bryanne Netjes, daughter of Mark & LaDonna Netjes, Alexsandra  Patricia Marie Peralta, daughter of Ron & Janine Van Groningen, Kimberly Jeane Stegner, daughter of Vincent & Athena Engel, Camila Sweaney, daughter of Russell & Debra Sweaney, Michelle Ambrose, daughter of Ray & Betty Ambrose.  

The candidates will be selling their tickets to friends, neighbors and businesses.
