Christmas was still 14 days away but 14 Manteca non-profit groups were definitely being thinking about the Fourth of July.

They were the winners among 28 applicants in the City of Manteca’s annual lottery for the right to sell fireworks starting the week prior Independence Day.

The fourteen organizations are East Union Sober Grad, Robbie Taberna FFA Memorial Scholarship, Victorious Elite Allstars, Prayer Valley Family Worship Church, Manteca Jr. Buffaloes Youth Football and Cheer, Delta Rebels Youth Football and Cheer, Manteca Presbyterian Church, Crossroads Grace Community Church, Freedom Christian Center, Delta Rebels Youth Football and Cheer, Fellowship Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star/Pentalpha Chapter #339, . Knights of Columbus/St. Anthony’s Manteca Council, and American Legion/McFall-Grisham Post 249.
