If wearing green isn’t enough of a celebration for you on St. Patrick’s Day, Frank Teixeira has got you covered. The Fagundes Meats and Catering owner is currently putting the finishing touches on prepping 400 pounds of corned beef and cabbage for the annual St. Patrick’s Day feast at The Pub and Longue on N. Main Street – which every year offers the free traditional Irish staple for anybody who wants to come out and celebrate. Rather than charging per plate or at the door, the bar – which has been partnering with Fagundes for the last five years for the savory food which also includes potatoes and other fixings – asks for a donation that will go towards Autism research, a cause near and dear to Teixeira’s heart.
