A CVS Pharmacy used drug collection receptacle has been mounted permanently into the floor of the Manteca Police Department’s front lobby for the convenience of the public, according to Capt. Charlie Goeken. CVS is teaming up with The Partnership at Drugfree.org to create the innovative community donation program enabling police departments to apply for a receptacle for their community as Manteca has done. This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Manteca, Ripon and Lathrop are hosting the “Got Drugs” opportunity for their residents to turn in their used or expired medications for safe disposal.
