RIPON — Ripon Christian Schools offer specialties throughout the grade levels, according to Superintendent Kerry Manus who will welcome potential families for the next school year to an open house at the South County campus on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m.

“Students at Ripon Christian have opportunities to participate in the full educational experience,” Manus said.

The private school educator added that specialties are offered for all grade levels with students participating in numerous electives such as a mock trial, debate, drama, choir, and band, as well as numerous sports activities for boys and girls.

Robotics technology and a variety of clubs and other avenues are available for the students to pursue on the elementary and high school campus located on Maple Avenue in Ripon adjacent to Highway 99.

Parents and prospective students will gather in the Performing Arts Center next week, where staff members, parents and students will share their knowledge about the 82-year-old school.

Some 80 percent of Ripon Christian High School seniors have met the admission requirements for the University of California system, Manus noted. He added that all of the RC graduates continue their secondary education after leaving Ripon Christian.

Ripon Christian Board of Trustees vice president Bryan Groningen quoted parents as saying that the school is the “best kept secret” around for the preparation and acceptance of its students to some of the top colleges and universities in the U.S.
