Manteca Green outslugs Manteca White in 9-10 tourney

TRACY — Manteca Green’s Preston Smith had a two-RBI double in a seven-run second inning Monday and added a two-RBI triple in a seven-run fourth to lead Green to a 17-5 win over Manteca White in consolation action of the District 67 9-10 All-Star Tournament at Legacy Fields.
Green tallied 12 hits. Isaac Acuna (four RBI, two runs) and Hayden Coronado (two RBI, two runs) were both 3 for 4 and Dylan Stonum was 2 for 4 with two RBI, a double and three runs.
Louis Rivera made a highlight-reel diving catch in right field for Green in the third inning with the bases loaded and one out, getting the ball back to Edward Anthony at second base for the inning-ending double play.
Acuna, Stonum, Smith, and Eliseo Cervantez combined to two-hit White with Mateo Esparza getting a double and Nate Moore a single and a run. Green committed four errors, allowing White’s Isaiah Lynch to reach twice on errors and score twice.
Green faces Spreckels Park on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Spreckels Park’s Wyatt Bauer had a career day at the plate, going 5 for 5 with a home run and four runs in consolation action.
Spreckels Park went through its lineup in a 15-run first inning before making an out and coasted to the mercy-rule consolation win. In that first inning Anthony Grady had a pair of doubles, Ricardo Anaya (4 for 5, double, two runs), Jacob Malrow and Jackson Fay each had a double and a single and Christopher Stackpole (3 for 4, double) and Bauer both had a pair of singles.
Cody Camarena rounded out the Spreckels Park attack, going 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles and four runs.
Spreckels Park plays Manteca Green on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

Lathrop 22,
 Weston Ranch 20
Lathrop put up 11 first-inning runs and withstood an eight-run Weston Ranch sixth for the consolation win at Northgate’s Gillen Field.
Lathrop leadoff batter Hernando Bolanos reached base six times, going 3 for 3 and walking three times, scoring five runs. Riley Strongren (double, four runs) and Benjamin Grisham (run) were both 3 for 5 and Jaime Sifuentes and Neno Murillo each had a double.
Jordan Paris (double, triple, four runs), Isaiah Hernandez (two doubles, two runs) and Alejandro Piedra (double, three runs) were all 4 for 5 for Weston Ranch. Larry Cachua was 3 for 4 with two runs and R.J. Marquez was 3 for 6 with a double and two runs.
Lathrop faces Northgate on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
