Doctors Hospital has five new nurses on staff following an intense Versant intern program.
There is one male nurse in the group joining the four female graduate nurses.
Caitlin Ray has been a registered nurse working nights in intensive care and critical care units. She currently lives in Manteca and received her bachelor in science degree at California State University Long Beach. Included in her background was a course in Medical Spanish for Hospital Nurses.
While in college she became a level 6 cook for In-N-Out and volunteered for the Arthritis Foundation, Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Health Association, served at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Beach Halloween Event, the Love in the Mirror Fifth Annual Sock Drive.
Irendeep Srai has been a registered nurse assigned to the hospital’s Multi-Specialty Unit working nights at DHM. She received her nurse’s bachelor in science degree at West Coast University in Anaheim in Southern California and currently lives in Tracy.
Her work experience includes being a caregiver at Coral Tree In-home Care in Newport Beach and volunteering at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. Srai also worked as a receptionist for Srai Law Office and did an internship at the Alzheimer’s Association in Irvine.
Gerardo Ramirez has worked as an RN resident in the Multi-Specialty Unit at Doctors on the night shift. He received his bachelor’s in science degree in nursing from the California State University Stanislaus in Turlock and currently lives in Modesto. Ramirez has recently served as a manager of a McDonalds store and is fluent in Spanish.
Melinda Adams has been serving in the Medical Surge Unit on the night shift and currently lives in Manteca. Her degree is in advanced cardio vascular life support. Her work experience includes serving as a cadet with the California Highway Patrol, secretary for a pest control business, and worked in management and at the front desk at the Morgan Hill Inn
Sokpey “Sophie” Chheang has been an RN resident in Medical Surgery on the night shift. She received her advanced life support card at Delta College in Stockton. She has worked as a certified nursing assistant at Lodi Memorial Hospital and Casa Del Rios Rehab Center; tutor and team lead at Lincoln Unified School District.
