Sonia Lasyone is the Ripon Unified’s new Chief Business Officer.

 She fills a vacancy that had been occupied on an interim basis by Douglas Crancer of Ryland School Business Consulting.

“We’re excited to have Sonia join the RUSD team,” said new Superintendent Ziggy Robeson. “(Lasyone) brings a wealth of experience to our district.

“She will be a great help to our students, staff and community.”

Lasyone comes to the district with 25 years of school district experience, including the past 12 as CBO.

She previously worked for Galt Joint Union High School District and Gateway Community Charter School, according to Robeson.

During her time at Galt, Lasyone was a key member of that California Career Pathways Trust Grant team which was awarded with $15 million in funding.

She has an extensive background in the business office, transportation, facilities, and technology as well as nutrition services.

Lasyone has her CBO certificate from FCMAT and is also an ACSA Personnel Institute graduate.

July 1 was the first day at her new job.
