The nine Miss Almond Blossom princesses will be featured in a variety of fashions in Monday night’s annual fashion show at 6 p.m.
The fashion show also includes children and adults walking down from the stage at the Ripon High School multi-use room on North Acacia Avenue.
The show is following the 2019 Almond Blossom Festival theme, “A Century of Memories.” Todd Davis of Sound Express will act as master of ceremonies for the evening.
Tickets are $10 each with some 200 sold to date. A few tickets are still available at the chamber office on Stockton Avenue in the downtown.
The evening will start with a raffle and a silent auction followed by the show. The shops providing the fashions for the evening include Dress Barn, Maurice’s in Manteca, Tractor Supply in Ripon, Royal Robbin, Modesto; and Pencie & Ginger in Escalon.
The princesses are being escorted by family members – a dad, a brother or uncle.
Shirley Jorgensen and Debra Emig are the chairs for the show. The two women have organized a committee of former Soroptimist Club members. They are Char Witke, Connie Jorgensen, Debra Emig, Julee Fulmer, Melissa States, Shirley Jorgensen and Vi Sikkema.
At the end of the show there will be a $100 door prize awarded to a member of the audience. Pie and coffee will be the dessert for the evening. Pies coming from the Pie Guys and coffee courtesy of Evelyn Cataeno.
