Di Quaresma is memorializing the events of 2020 in a special way.
The Ripon resident just donated a bench along the pedestrian path adjacent to Riverview Circle, located just south of Doak Boulevard not far from Jack Tone Golf.
The black bench, eight foot in length, will serve as a memory of those who passed before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With it will be a plaque inscribing just that for walkers, joggers and mothers with strollers to see.
The total amount of the donation is about $3,000.
Cost will also cover the labor necessary to install the bench by the City of Ripon's Public Works Department.
No ongoing maintenance will be necessary.
Queresma's donation was accepted by the Ripon City Council.
