The City of Ripon’s Department of Planning and Economic Development received a project referral that calls for expanding the existing Community Center parking lot.

Included will be two separate lots being combined into one larger, more accessible area, according to the Minor Site Review.

The project location is at 334 4th Street and 610 S. Acacia Avene at the City of Ripon Community Center – the total parcel size of the project is 323,650 square feet.

“The improvements will increase the number of parking spaces and enhance site functionality and accessibility,’ said the City of Ripon.

Upgrades to the stormwater system, in accordance to the plan, would be completed in order to accommodate the surface improvements.

The two baseball fields adjacent to the parking lot, meanwhile, would be rehabilitated and improved to provide better access and amenities.

As part of the project, the middle baseball field would be shifted to a new location in an effort to provide room for the improvements.
