The City of Ripon is moving forward with plans for a new corporation yard.
At tonight’s City Council meeting, elected leaders will look to OK a professional service agreement with LDA Partners to provide the bidding assistance and construction administration for the facility planned on Doak Boulevard.
This will take place during the 6 p.m. open session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.
The agreement is not to exceed $144,875, and will paid via the Corporation Yard Capital Fund.
LDA Partners were initially brought along in December 2019 to provide the Engineering and Architectural Design Service for the Corporation Yard Project.
According to staff report, the project is currently in the bidding phase with bidding scheduled to begin on Nov. 17.
The anticipated time for the start of construction would be early 2023.
In other agenda items:
· Elected leaders will discuss the financial audit for Fiscal Year 2021-2022. Price Page & Company completed the audit of the City’s Financial Statement along with the Money Purchase Thrift Pension Plan in June. No action will be necessary.
· Council will also talk about the Grand Jury report from Superior Court of California, County of San Joaquin regarding “Cybersecurity: Local Defense Against a Global Threat,” with the purpose of providing direction to staff.
