The Pickleball Club of the Woodbridge by Del Webb community in Manteca organized a fundraiser dance on Friday benefitting Without Permission.
Manteca Mayor Gary Singh and Councilmember Mike Morowit also attended the dance event with their wives.
In addition to the $1,610 check from tickets sold, revenue from raffle prizes and direct donations brought the total to over $3,000.
The Central Valley is currently battling a human trafficking crisis.
The mission of Without Permission is to bring human trafficking education and prevention training to the Central Valley and to provide life restoration to survivors.
In 2010, Debbie Johnson founded Without Permission Inc., a faith based non-profit organization in the Central Valley.
Beginning as a two-person ministry, Without Permission has developed a local response to the growing problem.
In September of 2015, Just His House began the journey of survivor restoration as a day center for navigation and restoration.
In 2020, WP purchased property in North Modesto to begin building a permanent location for Just His House, complete with amenities to better serve the survivors they work with.
In recent years, they have launched a cutting edge jail diversion program in collaboration with local District Attorney’s offices in order to help reduce recidivism and restore victims caught up in the cycle. -informed mentors to the survivors of sex trafficking/exploitation. The Crisis Navigator team to date has served over 1,162 survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in the Central Valley.
Without Permission has developed and presented educational training programs to law enforcement, juvenile probation, social services, school administrators, and emergency medical staff.
#NotAPriceTag is the campus education program, developed for prevention/awareness training and taught to students in Stanislaus and San Joaquin County junior high and high schools. Without Permission has a staff of 17 and more than 100 volunteers that drive the vision annually.
Without Permission currently has onsite staff members located at Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall, The Family Justice Center of Stanislaus County, Stanislaus County Community Services Agency, and San Joaquin Family Justice Center.
They have provided 45,100 plus hours of school district prevention training and served over 1,162 survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in the Central Valley.
Without Permission has provided training to over 53,800 community members.
