Doctors Hospital of Manteca recently conducted a successful Blood Drive for the Red Cross.

Twenty-eight members of the DHM team donated, surpassing the goal of 25 donations. 

Potentially, each donation can save up to three lives, which means that 84 lives could be saved.

 The blood donations don’t just help the recipients: donating blood at least once a year can help improve blood flow and reduce arterial blockages. 

In fact, studies dating back to the late 1990s have found that people who donated blood reduced their risk of experiencing a heart attack by 88%.

 Notably, 20 of the donors were first-time donors, which is essential to the U.S. donor pool because they provide nearly a third of all donations. 

Among the donors were DHM CEO Tina burch and staff that came in on their day off.
