Fairfield by Marriott completes Lathrop frontage improvements
fairfield
One of the conditions of approval in the development of the Fairfield Inn hotel in Lathrop was the frontage improvements along Manthey Road – paving, landscaping, lighting, and sidewalk.

The Fairfield by Marriott Lathrop opened not too long ago.

One of the conditions of approval for the four-story, 53,800-square-foot hotel with 97 guestrooms was the installation of frontage improvements along Manthey Road.

The work consisting of paving, landscaping, lighting, and sidewalk was recently completed.

The Lathrop City Council Monday was scheduled to accept the public improvement associated with the encroachment permit for the Fairfield Inn located at 17401 Manthey Road from Manthey Road Investments, LLC.

Staff inspected these improvements and City Engineer Brad Taylor deemed the work complete and in compliance with the approved plans and specifications. Cost for the frontage improvements was at $192,069.

Manthey Road Investments, LLC, provided a one-year warranty bond based on 10 percent of the completed construction costs along with lien releases for the improvements proposed for acceptance, according to staff.

The Lathrop Planning Commission approved the Conditional Use Permit and the Site Plan Review for construction of the Fairfield Inn back in July 2021.
