Four secure ballot drop off locations in South County for today’s vote
special election

Today, Nov. 4, is the state Special Election.

According to the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters office, the polling locations will be open for 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with registered voters having the option to “Sign, Scan, and Go” on site.

By that, they can sign in with staff, scan their ballot, and go from there, completing the in-person process.

Ballots consisting of ‘Proposition 50: Congressional Redistricting’ can also be mailed (must be postmarked on or before Election Day) or placed in one of the Official Drop boxes.

An Official Drop Box, locally, can be found at these locations:

·         Manteca – City Hall, 1001 W. Center St. (between the police station and the City Hall Administration Building walkway); The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley, 873 Lifestyle St. (near the front entrance of Red Robin Restaurant).

·         Ripon – City Hall, 259 N. Wilma Ave.

·         Lathrop – City Hall, 390 Towne Centre Dr.; La Reina Market, 1357 E. Louise Ave.

All ballots must be marked, sealed, and signed and dated on the back of the envelope in black ink.

Tracking of ballots (upon being received by the SJC Registrar office) can be conducted on line by signing up at www.WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov or without signing in at www.voterstatus.sos.ca.gov.
