French Camp School promotes 68 eighth graders into high school

French Camp Elementary School bid farewell Tuesday to some 68 eighth graders.

This was all part of the promotional celebration held in the school’s multi-purpose building under the leadership of first-year principal Rene Knapp.

She welcomed those in attendance — special guests included Manteca Unified school board member Kathy Howe and Deputy Superintendent and former school principal Roger Goatcher — and was joined by Vice Principal Jennifer Taylor along with faculty member Kortney Agdeppa in the presentation of awards ceremony.

As for the students, Ailien Cabello, Japsi Ferreira and Josue Segura led in the flag salute while Andrew Soto, Sophia Ortiz, Ramon Del Rio, Arturo Torres, Alondra Gonzales, Jacqueline Simental, Bianca Lopez and Eva Correa were among the scheduled speakers for the program.
