Thursday will be a special Senior Luncheon hosted by Sister Ann Venita Brito and her Ministry Caring.

This Halloween event – scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Anthony’s gymnasium at the corner of North Fremont Avenue and Sutter Street in Manteca – welcomes everyone regardless of their religious beliefs or affiliation.

Sr. Ann is encouraging those attending to wear costumes. She’s expecting many of her regulars from the likes of St. Jude’s Care Center, United Cerebral Palsy, Prestige Senior Living, and Brookdale Senior Living, to name a few.

They’ll be able to enjoy a meal cooked by Rick Jager and Craig Yezmin while grooving to live music performed by Pete & Ruben.

Sister Ann will recognize those with October birthdays and will also hand out the door prizes to all of the winners of the drawing with help from students at nearby St. Anthony School.

They’ll also double as servers for the luncheon.
