The City of Lathrop will be conducting free poetry workshops for local seventh-through-12th grade students. The events of the Lathrop Poet Laureate and the Youth Advisory Commission begin this Friday, Nov. 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Grind at the Lathrop Generations, Teen Center, 450 Spartan Wy., with Poetry in Music as the theme.
