A 27-year-old man was arrested in Lathrop on Wednesday on charges of murder stemming from a shooting at a Livermore bowling alley over the weekend.

According to the Livermore Police Department, Roger Aleman Garcia was taken into custody with the assistance of the Lathrop Police Department and the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team after detectives tracked his location to a home in the fast-growing South County community.

Garcia was reportedly the one responsible for shooting multiple patrons inside of the Granada Bowl bar area after a fight broke out over the weekend.

Three people were struck by gunfire in the incident, and 28-year-old Antonio Vargas died from his injuries. The other two victims are expected to recover.

The shooting occurred while the bowling alley was packed full of people, and according to witnesses, interrupted an 8-year-old girl’s birthday party that was occurring at the time – sending some of the children fleeing for cover after the shots were fired.
