Manteca Museum offers Wine & Words, car show plus an August car show

Part of the Manteca Museum collection includes railroad memorabilia including the old “Manteca” sign from the Southern Pacific Railroad station that once stood near Library Park and was torn down in the 1960s.

The Manteca Museum is planning three events this summer.

*An art show on Friday, July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.

*Wine & Words on Thursday, July 23, with a talk about “Legends of the Ring” from 6 to 8 p.m.

*Hot August Nights in Manteca car show on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All three events take place at the museum, 600 W. Yosemite Ave.

The art show organized in partnership with the Manteca Artist Guild is a free entry event.

The evening will allow you to meet local artists.

The featured artwork will be on display and available for purchase at the museum through the end of July.

Manteca High alumni and military veteran Ralph Dominguez will moderate the Wine & Words conversation.

It features guest speakers Tony Dominguez, Richard Perez, and Mike Lopez.

Dominquez was undefeated with a 16-0 record and 14 knockouts. Known as “The Manteca Artist”. He was inducted into the Hispanic Hall of Fame.

Perez is a famous Manteca trainer who coached legends Nate and Nick Diaz.

Lopez is a mentor, personal trainer, and boxing enthusiast.

The evening is free to members while a suggested donation of $10 is being asked of those that are not members of the Manteca Historical Society to help support the museum.

Classic cars are being sought for the Aug. 22 car show.
