downtown manteca logo

Downtown is offering two events in the coming three weeks for people to gather.

One is a Cinco de Mayo celebration and the other is a sound bath and meditation session.

Meditation and sound

bath taking place April 18

The sound bath and meditation event is taking place at the Manteca Community Garden on Saturday, April 18, at 8 a.m.

Dubbed “The Garden Gathering”, it is a guided meditation and sound bath experience designed to help you soften, settle, and recalibrate.

A posting about the event notes “there's something different about mornings in the garden. Before all the noise, before the rush — just breath, stillness, and the quiet presence of community.

It will take place on a grassy area that was created for such uses in the middle of the garden on the southeast corner of Poplar Avenue and Center Street across from the Manteca Library.

Attendees can bring a mat, blanket and pillow or whatever they need for comfort.

Tickets are $35 per person. Space is limited.

Tickets are available through https://www.eventbrite.com/.../the-garden-gathering-sound...

All proceeds will be donated to the Urban Green Project, Manteca Community Garden.

It will also include a car show from 5 to 8 p.m.
