MORE SPOTS FOR QUICK SERVE RESTAURANTS BEING PURSUED

Manteca developers are in the hunt for quick serve restaurants.

The latest is a proposal for two locations — along with a 406-unit mini storage complex — just south of the McKinley Avenue and 120 Bypass interchange.

Plans for the project are now being reviewed by the City of Manteca Community Development Department.

The quick service restaurant moniker is more inclusive than fast food tags. It is because it also encompasses niche operations such as coffee spots.

Just because developers submit plans for quick serve restaurants doesn’t necessarily mean they have already secured users.

That said, work has either started — or will in the coming months — on the city’s second Chipotle location, its third Dutch Bros, a Fat Burger, a Sonic Drive-In, and Manteca’s fifth McDonald’s.

*The Dutch Bros is going in near the northeast corner of Union Road and Lathrop Road along with a 40,000 square-foot Tractor Supply Store.

*Sonic is part of a commercial development on the northwest corner of Daniels Street and Airport Way.

*A Chipotle Kitchen — a dedicated takeout facility with drive up and walk up windows and no inside dining is now under construction at the Marketplace at Main on the southwest corner of Atherton Drive and Main Street where Manteca’s third Save Mart is also being built.

*Marketplace at Main is where the fifth McDonald’s is going as well as the city’s third Quick Quack car wash.

*The Fat Burger is going in the in-line space under construction that is part of the ARCO and Starbucks complex on the southeast corner of Lathrop Road and Crestwood Avenue.

Quick service restaurant  space or pads are part of secondary phases of proposed commercial developments on the:

*southeast corner of Pillsbury Road and Woodward Avenue.

*southeast corner of Atherton Drive and Airport Way where the 4-story Woodspring Suites is now under construction.

*southeast corner of Louise Avenue and Airport Way.
