Mossdale: The actual final transcontinental rail link
MURAL SHOWCASES HISTORY
train mural
This October 2018 photo shows muralist Dave Gordon, center, is surrounded by some of those that helped paint the Mossdale Crossing mural on the wall of The Spin Cycle in the 100 block of East Yosemite Avenue. It represents where the final segment of the transcontinental railroad was put in place.
The final link in the transcontinental railroad was not at the much-celebrated meeting of the Union Pacific and Central Pacific on May 10, 1869 at Promontory, Utah.
