A Manteca resident was arrested on Tuesday for possessing and sending child pornography.
The case started when Manteca Police received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Monday.
A detective reviewed the tip and believed the suspect was producing child sexual abuse material with victims 3-years-old and younger.
The detective used search warrants to obtain information from the suspect’s internet service provider and to search the suspect’s Manteca residence.
Additionally, the detective obtained an arrest warrant and took the suspect into custody during the search of his residence.
Several electronic devices were recovered during the search warrant service and will be forensically examined for child sexual abuse material.
