The third annual Women's Empowerment Event hosted by Manteca Unified School District for female high school students is set for Tuesday, March 31.
It takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the RESC Building at the MUSD headquarters complex.
This year’s theme, “Resilient. Rooted. Rising.”, centers on empowering young women to recognize their strengths, honor their experiences, and move forward with confidence and purpose. Students are nominated and selected to attend based on demonstrated resiliency, improved academic performance, and growth in attendance.
The event is intentionally designed to connect high school females, celebrate their achievements, promote equity, and emphasize the importance of self-care.
Some 50 to 70 girls from Manteca, East Union, Sierra, Calla, Lathrop, Weston Ranch, and New Vision high schools along with Yosemite Day School will gather for a full-day experience that includes a keynote speaker, engaging breakout sessions, lunch, and a raffle.
Throughout the day, participants will hear powerful messages, build meaningful connections, and engage in conversations that uplift student voice and leadership.
This event reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to students' unique educational pathways. The day promises to provide mindful moments and personal reflection with emphasis on empowering young women during a pivotal stage of their lives.
