Crystal del Toro Bueno took the drive-thru graduation to a new level.
At Friday’s commencement exercises at Calla High, she rode into the parking lot to pick up her diploma on horseback.
This was the second year that the Manteca Unified site did the drive-thru ceremony amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many from the Class of 2021 rolled in on decorated vehicles to mark the special occasion.
Senior awards went out to Anjelina Wagoner (Art), Taiya Vidal (English), Bryce Carpenter (Math), Javier Mercado Guevara (Physical Ed.), James Gonsalves (Science), Elizabeth Inguanzo (Social Science), and David Vierra Jr. (Yearbook).
