The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved Supervisor Robert Rickman’s proposal to provide $1,050 to the Ripon High Booster Club to cover costs of testing certifications for students participating in the Ripon High School Drone Program.

The Ripon High Booster Club supports student educational experiences by fostering community involvement, promoting academic and extracurricular programs, and providing financial

assistance for innovative learning opportunities.

A subaccount for the Ripon High School Drone Program has been established and these one-time funds will be used strictly in support of the certification testing.

“I am proud to secure funds in support of STEM related programs such as the Ripon High School Drone Program,” said Rickman. “These certifications will provide these students with a valuable credential that can open doors to STEM careers in the fields of public safety, agriculture, construction, and the military.”

The Supervisorial District Funds were re-established by the Board of Supervisors in the 2023-2024 Adopted Budget, to afford each supervisor the opportunity to address district-specific unmet needs.

Supervisorial district-funded projects are subject to existing County policy and business practice.
