Ripon Blossom Express will roll on through 2028

The City of Ripon Blossom Express bus has provided services both locally and to parts of Modesto since 2017.

Residents can rest assure that those services will continue for the next three years after the Ripon City Council approved Tuesday the Eighth Amendment to the Interagency Agreement with San Joaquin Regional Transit District.

No discussion was needed from elected leaders, who went with the staff recommendation in extending the term of agreement through June 30, 2028.

Included is SJRTD providing a driver to operate Ripon’s Blossom Express bus, which operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays along a fixed route service.

Local riders can take the Blossom Express from the Ripon Save Mart shopping center and the Ripon Memorial Library, to Modesto’s Vintage Faire Mall, Kaiser hospital, and the Target Center. Routes can deviate within three to four miles of the bus stop, available upon request.

Bus services, in terms of cost, are made possible by the city’s allocation of Measure K Renewal transit fund and Federal Transit Administration Section 5311 funds.
